About the Role

We are looking for technically curious and motivated students to join our Software R&D team for a 12-month placement. This is an exciting opportunity to work on real-world AI/ML applications within advanced communication systems, gaining hands-on experience in software engineering, machine learning, automation, and next-generation wireless technologies. You will work alongside experienced software, AI/ML, RF, and systems engineers, contributing to projects that support the development, testing, and optimization of intelligent communication solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and test AI/ML-powered software applications within communication system workflows
  • Work with Python, machine learning frameworks, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and automation tools
  • Support the development, validation, and testing of 5G and next-generation communication protocols
  • Collaborate with software, RF, systems, and data-focused engineering teams
  • Contribute to performance analysis, software automation, and optimization of telecom systems
  • Participate in software design, implementation, debugging, testing, and validation activities
  • Assist with AI model integration, evaluation, and data-driven engineering workflows
  • Support technical investigations and system-level problem solving

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related discipline
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and data processing concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and solving technical challenges

Required Skills

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn
  • Familiarity with Hugging Face, model deployment, or MLOps concepts
  • Experience using LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, or AI-assisted development tools
  • Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI APIs, Claude CLI, or similar AI technologies
  • Knowledge of telecommunications, networking, or 5G protocols
  • Understanding of signal processing, time-series analysis, or protocol stack concepts
  • Experience with C, C++, C#, or .NET technologies
