Role Description

The Air and Ocean Freight Operation Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in London. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day air and ocean freight operations, including booking shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with international regulations and company policies. The Executive will liaise with carriers, agents, and customers to manage schedules, track cargo movements, and resolve operational issues promptly. Responsibilities include updating internal systems, monitoring shipment status, and providing accurate information to stakeholders to support smooth end-to-end logistics. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams to optimize processes, support cost-effective solutions, and maintain high service standards for clients.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight operations
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in freight forwarding, including booking procedures, documentation, and basic customs requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers, agents, and customers, with the ability to manage schedules and track shipments accurately.
  • Proficiency in using logistics or freight management systems, as well as standard office software.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple shipments and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide professional customer service and resolve operational issues.
  • Ability to work effectively on-site in London within a team environment, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team-working attitude and willingness to collaborate across Operations, Product and Sales functions.
