Role Description
This full-time, on-site Air Conditioning Engineer role is based in Hull, UK. The Air Conditioning Engineer will install, commission, and maintain air conditioning and HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments, following technical drawings and specifications.

Typical responsibilities include:

- Diagnosing faults
- Performing repairs
- Carrying out routine servicing
- Ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely
The role involves:
- Completing job documentation
- Liaising with site managers and clients
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures
The engineer will also:
- Support inspections
- Recommend system improvements
- Assist with planning materials and tools needed for scheduled work
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with air conditioning and HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical principles relevant to building services and climate control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications, and to use standard diagnostic tools and instruments.
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards, regulations, and best practices for on-site construction and service work.
- Relevant technical certification or apprenticeship in air conditioning, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related building services discipline.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a site-based team.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with colleagues, contractors, and clients, and for completing accurate reports and documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally between job sites as required.
- Previous experience in construction or building services environments is preferred.
