Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Air Conditioning Engineer role based in Cambridgeshire. The Air Conditioning Engineer will install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems across residential and commercial projects, ensuring all work meets industry standards and company quality expectations. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing system faults, performing routine servicing, completing electrical connections related to HVAC units, and ensuring correct configuration of Fujitsu, Daikin, and Toshiba systems. The role involves site visits, detailed project planning, accurate documentation of work carried out, and clear communication with customers to explain findings, recommended solutions, and maintenance requirements. The engineer will work closely with the wider team to deliver reliable, efficient, and safe air conditioning solutions that support long-term system performance.

Qualifications

- Strong HVAC skills, including installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on split, multi-split, and VRF/VRV systems.
- Experience in Building Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of Building Services and Facility Management (FM) principles related to climate control and energy-efficient operation.
- Relevant technical qualifications in air conditioning, refrigeration, or building services engineering (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Awareness of electrical safety standards and regulations; F-Gas certification or equivalent is highly beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturer specifications (Fujitsu, Daikin, Toshiba preferred).
- Strong attention to detail, commitment to high-quality workmanship, and a customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites in and around Cambridgeshire.
