Role Description

This full-time remote Air Conditioning Engineer role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and optimization of HVAC and building services systems across a diverse portfolio of client properties. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and diagnosing air conditioning systems, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and completing repairs to ensure safe, efficient operation. The engineer will review performance data from the BiO® platform, respond to service requests, and prioritize work to meet contractual and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities also include accurate documentation of work carried out, collaboration with facility management teams, and clear communication with customers and colleagues. The role requires adherence to health and safety standards, proactive identification of improvement opportunities, and occasional support for wider building services and maintenance projects.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical qualification (NVQ2) or apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, and valid F-Gas cat1.
  • Strong skills in Building Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Practical experience in Building Services and HVAC, including installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of air conditioning equipment.
  • Knowledge of Facility Management (FM) practices, service delivery standards, and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient operation of HVAC systems and basic understanding of sustainability principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Effective communication skills, basic IT literacy, and comfort using digital service management platforms.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
  • Experience in multi-site commercial or institutional environments.
  • DBS clearance will be required.

Schedule

Our normal site hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am - 5pm however we understand there is need for flexibility due to our clients, on site needs.

Remuneration and Benefits

  • Attractive base salary of £46-50k plus overtime pay.
  • The engineer will receive a van and fuel card for travel, access to our trusted suppliers/trade accounts, mobile phone, tablet/PDA, uniform and any trade specific tools.
  • Engineers are expected to provide their own 'hand tools'.
  • 25 days annual leave (plus public holidays), company pension, death in service benefit and 'Smart Health' service.
