This is a full-time, on-site Air Conditioning Engineer role based in Basingstoke. The Air Conditioning Engineer will install, service, and maintain air conditioning systems and associated mechanical plant across a range of commercial sites. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Diagnosing faults
  • Performing reactive and planned maintenance
  • Completing accurate service reports
  • Ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently

The role involves working with equipment from leading manufacturers, adhering to relevant regulations and industry standards, and coordinating with the wider building services team to support high-quality service delivery. The engineer will also interact with clients on-site, providing clear updates, professional advice, and maintaining a safe, tidy work environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in HVAC systems, including installation, commissioning, servicing, and fault-finding.
  • Experience with building services and building maintenance in commercial environments.
  • Competence in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical plant related to air conditioning.
  • Understanding of facility management (FM) principles and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs.
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in air conditioning, refrigeration, or mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Up-to-date F-Gas certification and knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals, and produce clear service and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the region.
