Role Description

The Air Conditioning Engineer is responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems for residential and commercial customers. Day-to-day tasks include:

The role also involves advising clients on energy-efficient solutions, smart thermostat integration, and best practices for system performance, as well as maintaining accurate service records and documentation.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton, requiring regular travel to customer locations within the region.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills in installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient systems, smart thermostat integration, and basic HVAC control technologies.
  • Understanding of relevant safety regulations, electrical principles, and industry standards for HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service documentation.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Good communication and customer service skills for interacting with residential and commercial clients.
  • Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate work records.
  • Relevant trade qualification or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical engineering; valid driving license preferred.
