Air Conditioning Service & Maintenance Engineer

SFE Services Ltd – High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Full-time | £40,000–£50,000 basic salary, depending on experience

SFE Services is an award-winning, family-run air conditioning and ventilation specialist based in High Wycombe. We deliver everything from domestic split systems to complex commercial VRF/VRV, ventilation and cooling projects.

We are looking for an experienced, capable Service & Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. This is a proper hands-on role for someone who takes pride in fault finding, getting systems back up and running, looking after clients and being part of a team that pulls together.

We work hard, play hard and look after our own. In return, we need someone reliable, professional and prepared to get stuck in.

The role

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, repairs and breakdown work.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on split, multi-split, VRF/VRV, AHU, ventilation and associated HVAC equipment.
  • Complete service reports, remedial recommendations and job paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts, suppliers and the SFE office team.
  • Support and guide junior engineers where required.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Work predominantly across Buckinghamshire, the South East and London, with occasional nationwide work and stay-away travel.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
