We are actively recruiting for an Air Conditioning Service Engineer to carry out planned maintenance, scheduled servicing, fault finding and repairs to a range of commercial Air Conditioning equipment such as split units, multi split units, VRF, VRV, ceiling cassette units, wall mounted units, ducted DX units, AHUs, FCUs etc. Majority of works across this equipment will involve coil cleans, filter cleans / changes, leak detection, refrigerant recovery etc.

As a mobile Air Conditioning Service Engineer, you will be working within a 90 minute radius of Reading, covering areas predominately in Berkshire / Hampshire / Surrey / Buckinghamshire regions. You will be paid your travel time following 30 minutes each way or if hours are deemed "unsociable" in the mornings (i.e.: leaving home at 6am) then you will be paid x1.5 rate for your time after 30 minutes. If daily hours exceed 9.5 hours out of the house including travelling time, then you will also be paid x1.5 rate for this time. Hours are flexible, meaning expectations are 9.5 hours out of the house from whenever you leave home, i.e.: leave home at 6am, back by 3:30. Leave home at 7am, home by 4:30pm.

Employment Package Summary

Role: Air Conditioning Service Engineer

Status: Permanent, PAYE - Paid Monthly

Environments: Commercial - retail

Location: 90 minute radius of Reading

Base Salary: £44,000

Expected Earnings: £55,000 - £60,000

Hours: 9.5 hours daily out of the house including travel time, i.e.: 6am-3:30pm / 7am-4:30pm OR paid overtime from these times. I.e.: Leave home at 6:00am to arrive on-site for 07:30am (paid 1 hour at x1.5 rate). Paid overtime rates (x1.5) from 3:30pm onwards including full travel time on the way home.

Overtime: High amounts available, self scheduled on PDA system without having to ask. x1.5 rate Monday-Saturday. x2 rate Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Call out rota: 1 in 8 weeks. £100 per week standby + minimum 4 hours pay if called out.

Holidays: 26 days + bank holidays - total 34 days with option to buy more or sell days back to the company.

Pension - up to 8% match scheme.

Company van provided (business use), fuel card, uniform, income protection, death in service scheme, retailer discounts etc.

Requirements

  • Must have experience within an Air Conditioning Service Engineer position or similar.
  • Must hold current F-Gas ticket.
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2/3 qualifications are preferable but not essential.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license with 9 points or less.
