✈️ We're Hiring | Operations Executive – Air Freight | Birmingham, UK
At xpd global, we don't just move cargo — we build connections across continents. With 23 years of experience and a presence across Latin America, Asia, and Europe, we are now growing our UK operation based near Birmingham Airport, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us.
🚀 The Opportunity
This is not a back-office role at a large corporation. This is a hands-on, high-impact position where you will be at the heart of our air freight operations — coordinating international shipments, building relationships with airlines and handling agents, and ensuring our clients receive a seamless, world-class service.

📋 What You'll Do
- Prepare and maintain air freight quotations and manage rate negotiations with carriers
- Coordinate day-to-day air operations with airlines, handling agents, and customs brokers
- Proactively monitor shipments and keep clients informed at every stage
- Issue accurate and compliant air cargo documentation (AWB, customs declarations, certificates of origin)
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and elevate the client experience
- Support the growth of the air freight desk as the operation scales

🎯 What We're Looking For
- Experience in air freight operations or a similar role within freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of air cargo documentation and international shipping regulations
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple shipments simultaneously
- A team player with a client-first mindset
- Based in or within commuting distance of Birmingham
