JOB PURPOSE
Develop and administer Air Freight Systems & Digital Delivery plans, processes, programs and activities to deliver effective and efficient functional outcomes in line with business needs and objectives, relevant strategies, frameworks and standards, Group guidelines and policies, and applicable legal, regulatory and compliance requirements. This includes managing Air Freight Systems & Digital Delivery activities within the assigned scope by converting business demand into governed solution delivery work, ensuring delivery within cost, time and quality expectations, and driving adoption of approved systems and capabilities.
KEY TASKS
- Manage assigned Air Freight solution delivery pipeline, ensuring demand is captured through the approved front door and supported by business rationale, impact, requirements and evidence.
- Lead planning and delivery of approved projects, enhancements, system fixes or adoption initiatives within scope, quality, timeline and budget expectations.
- Apply RUN / MATCH / LEAP logic to support prioritization and ensure stability, competitive parity and innovation demand are not mixed without decision discipline.
- Coordinate business requirements, UAT, training, readiness, release communication and post-go-live adoption with domains, GSC, Solution Delivery and IT.
- Support approved systems such as CW1, QuoteShop, Sales360, myDHLi, FRP / Station Monitor, LifeTrack and CapTrack are supported through consistent business ownership and adoption logic.
- Identify risks, dependencies, system gaps and adoption blockers early and escalate with impact, owner, due date and proposed decision path.
- Challenge local tool creation, shadow reporting, duplicated demand routes and country-specific rebuild requests that undermine GTOM standardization.
- Link system initiatives to AQI/SQI, productivity, customer promise, compliance, file quality, billing quality, cost-to-serve or strategic differentiation outcomes.
- Execute effective project governance including decision logs, action tracking, readiness checks, defect management and value realization follow-up.
- Instruct specialists and business users on digital governance, structured requirements, UAT discipline and adoption expectations.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- AI Literacy & Emerging Technology Knowledge: Strong understanding of Agentic AI, Generative AI, machine learning concepts, AI governance, and industry trends to effectively translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.
- Strategic Planning & Business Alignment: Define project vision, scope, business objectives, and success metrics, ensuring Agentic AI initiatives align with organizational strategy, operational priorities, and measurable business outcomes.
- AI Solution Delivery & Project Execution: Lead the end-to-end delivery of Agentic AI solutions, managing requirements, resources, vendors, timelines, budgets, integrations, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- AI Governance, Risk & Compliance Management: Establish controls and oversight mechanisms to manage AI-related risks, including security, privacy, regulatory compliance, ethics, bias, explainability, and human-in-the-loop decision processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement, Change Management & Value Realization: Drive collaboration among business, IT, data science, and executive stakeholders; lead user adoption and change management activities with DGF AFR; and measure KPIs, ROI, and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Resource Management & Technology Enablement: Fostering continuous skill enhancement, technical expertise, and professional growth of the DGF AFR Digital Solutions while ensuring alignment with emerging technologies, innovation trends, and evolving business requirements.
- Ability to gather, analyze and translate business requirements into scalable system and process solutions
- Experience leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), change management and user adoption activities
- Knowledge of demand intake, prioritization and governance processes within a complex global organization
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, dependencies and business impact
- Ability to build business cases, define expected benefits and measure delivery outcomes
- Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to engage senior stakeholders and support decision making
- Understanding of air freight forwarding processes and operational environments is preferred
- Familiarity with freight forwarding systems such as CW1, QuoteShop, myDHLi, FRP, LifeTrack or similar platforms is an advantage
- Knowledge of RUN / MATCH / LEAP governance principles is desirable
- More than 6 years of relevant experience in project delivery, digital solutions, systems implementation or business process improvement
