Air Quality Technician
GBP27,29k Manchester Full-time
My client, a well-established and independent air quality consultancy, is seeking an Air Quality Technician to join their growing specialist team in the Northwest.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop their career within environmental monitoring, working on a diverse range of projects across the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering air quality monitoring campaigns, with opportunities for professional development and career progression.

The Duties Of An Air Quality Technician
- Undertaking Ambient, Indoor and Industrial Emissions Monitoring
- Completing Dust, Emissions and Field Odour Surveys
- Calibrating, Managing, and Maintaining Samples and Laboratory Equipment
- Liaising with Clients, Suppliers and Consultants
- Managing Multiple Projects and Monitoring Campaigns
- Travelling to Sites throughout the UK, including Overnight Stays as Required
Essential Characteristics
- A Practical, Hands-on Approach and a Willingness to Undertake Field-based Work
- Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills
- Strong Time Management Skills and the Ability to Manage Multiple Tasks Effectively
- A Proactive Attitude, with the Ability to Work Independently and Solve Problems

Desirable Skills And Experience
Previous experience in environmental monitoring or a related technical field would be advantageous, alongside familiarity with air quality monitoring equipment, sampling techniques and laboratory procedures. Experience in preparing technical documentation or reports would also be beneficial.
Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical expertise within the environmental sector.
