JOB TITLE: Aircraft Cleaner
LOCATION: London Gatwick Airport RH6 0NP
CONTRACT: Permanent, 20 hours per week, 4 on 2 off
PAY RATE: Competitive
Role Overview And Purpose
The main purposes of the Aircraft Cleaner role are to work efficiently, as directed by the Cleaning Supervisors, as part of a team you will assist cleaning and restock the aircraft to the high standards required by our customers, conduct thorough security checks of the aircraft, and always display the core values of our client.
Working as part of the team cleaning and restocking the aircraft to the high standards required by our customers. You will also conduct thorough security checks of the aircraft, and at all times work in a professional way.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean a range of aircraft internally including vacuuming carpets, wiping down equipment and surfaces, clean all seats, seatback pockets, tray tables and replace damaged magazines
- Cleaning and restocking aircraft consumables
- Fold blankets, store blankets and pillows in overhead compartments
- Remove rubbish from the aircraft and make sure that it is properly disposed of
- Work as part of a team and ensure that you have good knowledge of all areas of the operation and aircraft
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while complying with the company's expectations, rules and procedures
- Assuring the proper handling of hazardous materials, correct use of uniform, safety vest, earplugs, and safety behaviour actions inside and outside the aircraft
- Be professional in appearance and manners towards co-workers, clients and any other person within the airport and work location
- Exceed Prime Flight customer service and safety standards
- Carry out other duties as assigned

Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Always follow Group and company policies and procedures
- Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
- Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
- Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system
Requirements
- Very good attention to details and excellent observational skills
- Being able to work under pressure and multitask
- Be a great team player
- Being able to quickly adapt to a very busy operational environment
- Able to work without constant supervision and follow the management instructions
- Be reliable and flexible and used to working to deadlines
