Aircraft Composite Repair Technician

The organisation prides itself in completing outstanding work quickly, on time, and on budget, providing vital support for many airlines.

Due to the excellent reputation of the business and the subsequent increase in workload, an additional Composite Repair Technician is required.

Role Summary:

A competent and self-motivated Composite Repair Technician is required to bring their experience for all aircraft maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled composite maintenance and repairs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Carrying out maintenance of aircraft as defined by customer requirements
  • Carrying out repairs to composite airframe structure as per SRM.
  • Maintaining the upkeep of the composite room and equipment and keeping all necessary records up to date including the composite procedures.
  • Working in accordance with Company procedures using only correctly maintained and uniquely identified personal tooling, company tooling and calibrated test equipment.
  • Ensuring correct completion of all maintenance documentation in a timely, in accordance with all aspects of the MOE Part 2 and procedures.
  • Informing Engineers of any adverse issues affecting safety, productivity and progression of work.
  • Ensuring correct storage of aircraft components and tooling including blanking, labelling and protection in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Maintaining standard engineering practices regarding general husbandry, workplace cleanliness and FOD prevention measures.

Skills & Experience required

  • Proven track record, typically achieved with 5 years minimum experience in aviation maintenance (including time served during an apprenticeship) within a Part 145 organisation.
  • Evidence of recency on composite repairs within the last two years.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering repair drawings.
  • Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation, including the Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives.
