Line Maintenance Control Engineer
Arden White Aerospace & Aviation Recruitment are currently supporting a well-established aviation organisation in recruiting a Line Maintenance Control Engineer based at East Midlands Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced aviation maintenance professional to join a busy Line Maintenance Control function, providing technical support across the flying operation and coordinating the quick and effective resolution of technical issues.
Working closely with Operations Control, Line Engineers, Flight Crews and Part CAMO, you will play a key role in maintaining aircraft availability, managing technical disruption and supporting the safe and efficient return to service of aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective and timely technical advice and support to Operations Control, Line Engineers and Flight Crews.
- Coordinate and control maintenance requirements relating to the line operation.
- Liaise with Part CAMO and relevant Post Holders for technical guidance and clarification.
- Keep Operations Control fully informed regarding technical delays, aircraft status and AOG situations.
- Support and coordinate AOG recovery plans and technical incidents.
- Manage and oversee the line maintenance plan, including planned maintenance inputs and line service checks.
- Manage Acceptable Deferred Defects and ensure they are raised against the correct MEL references and limitations.
- Monitor and risk assess the cumulative impact of multiple deferred defects.
- Ensure deferred defects are tracked, planned and rectified before expiry.
- Provide technical support to Line Engineers troubleshooting defects and repetitive technical issues.
- Maintain aircraft maintenance software systems to accurately reflect aircraft serviceability and availability.
- Coordinate the required manpower, spares and tooling to support maintenance and aircraft recovery.
- Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Part M, Part 145, company procedures, Technical Instructions and applicable Aircraft Maintenance Manuals.
- Attend and deliver operational briefings and produce aircraft status reports where required.
- Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping across all activities.

About You
- Minimum 5 years' aviation line and/or base maintenance experience.
- Experience on Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation aircraft, or similar commercial aircraft types.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem solving capability.
- Experience working within a fast moving operational aviation environment.
- Ability to make sound technical and operational decisions.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and self motivated.
- Strong team player capable of working across multiple operational departments.
Qualifications
The following would be advantageous:
- Valid EASA B1 and/or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence or ICAO equivalent.
- Current Human Factors training.
- Fuel Tank Safety Level 2.
- EWIS.
- HND level engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.

The Package
- Location: East Midlands Airport
- Salary: £67,972 + £2,800 Shift Pay
- Contract: Permanent, Full Time
- Shift Pattern: 12 Hour Days & Nights
- Application Deadline: 3 September 2026
The position operates on a fixed roster system, incorporating 12 hour day and night shifts, with approximately one working weekend every six weeks and rostered working from home days.
