Aircraft Support Equipment Coordinator
Location: RNAS Yeovilton, Yeovil, BA22 8HT
Salary: Competitive salary plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full Time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

As an Aircraft Support Equipment Coordinator within the Commando Helicopter Force (CHF) team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring aircraft support equipment, specialist equipment, and deployment assets are managed effectively, maintained correctly, and available when needed. Your work will help support operational readiness, engineering assurance, and safe aviation operations.
From coordinating critical support equipment to managing engineering data and compliance activities, you'll help create impactful solutions that enable military aviation operations to run safely and efficiently.
What you'll do:
- Manage and coordinate Aircraft Support Equipment (ASE), Aircraft Specialist Support Equipment (ASSE), Helicopter Underslung Lifting Equipment (HUSLE), and Role Equipment in support of operational and training requirements.
- Act as the Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solutions (JAMES) subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to engineering and logistics teams.
- Monitor equipment holdings, maintenance schedules, and asset records to ensure compliance, accountability, and operational availability.
- Coordinate the movement, packing, and transportation of specialist equipment, including deployment and embarkation activities.
- Produce and maintain risk assessments, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) documentation, and supporting assurance records.
- Support audits, inspections, engineering governance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure support equipment requirements are effectively managed and delivered.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting to support airworthiness and engineering compliance activities.

What you'll need:
- Experience within a military or civilian aviation, engineering, logistics, or airworthiness environment.
- Knowledge of aircraft support equipment management and associated engineering processes.
- Experience using Joint Asset Management and Engineering Solutions (JAMES) or a similar asset management system.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Vetting and checks:
This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, you will need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
