Aircraft Tear Down - Project Manager

Company Overview

Our client is a leading private equity-backed aviation aftermarket business. They buy, manage, tear down and sell aircraft parts, engines and assets to airlines, MROs and aviation companies worldwide. Following continued growth, they are looking for a Technical person to project manager the tear down of aircraft.

Job Summary

You'll manage aircraft assets from purchase through teardown and sale, working with airlines, lessors, MROs and aviation partners around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead aircraft teardown and maintenance projects.
  • Manage inspections and technical reviews.
  • Create project plans, budgets and timelines.
  • Coordinate MROs, vendors and engineering teams.
  • Track costs, risks and project progress.
  • Review maintenance records and technical documents.
  • Work closely with Sales, Procurement and Quality teams.
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Improve turnaround times and asset value.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance, MRO, teardown or asset management.
  • Experience managing aviation projects.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance and airframe structures.
  • Knowledge of FAA and/or EASA regulations.
  • Experience working with MROs, vendors and engineering teams.
  • Experience with Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Bombardier, ATR or similar aircraft.
  • Degree in Aviation, Engineering, Business or a related field preferred.
  • PMP qualification is a plus.
  • Familiar with AirbusWorld, MyBoeingFleet and OEM manuals.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Willing to travel internationally.
