Role: Airfreight Operations Operator
Division: Woodside Global
Location: Ballynure
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - either 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30.

With a substantial customs and compliance department, Woodside Global supports import and export operations across multiple sectors, delivering tailored logistics solutions and supply chain expertise to customers throughout the UK and international markets.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Airfreight Operations Operator to manage the end-to-end handling of import and/or export airfreight shipments. You will be responsible for coordinating with airlines, customers, customs, and internal teams to ensure shipments move efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day airfreight import/export operations from booking through delivery
- Prepare and process shipping documentation (AWBs, customs paperwork, invoices)
- Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, customs brokers, and clients
- Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements
- Handle dangerous goods documentation where applicable (if certified)
- Maintain accurate records in operations/freight management systems

Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience in airfreight import or export operations
- Valid IATA certificate
- Solid understanding of international trade practices and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills for liaising with carriers, customers, and customs
Desirable Criteria:
- Dangerous Goods (DGR) training/certification

- Proficiency in freight management/logistics software
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
