Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer with hands-on experience in Airline Operations Platform (AOP) and the Travel/Airline domain. The candidate will be responsible for building enterprise-grade dashboards, reports, data models, and analytics solutions to support airline operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Build and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
  • Develop and manage Power Query (M Language) transformations and ETL processes.
  • Create scalable and optimized data models for operational and business reporting.
  • Analyze airline operational data and provide actionable insights.
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and third-party systems.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, governance, and report performance.
  • Support report deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution.

Required Technical Skills

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Power BI development.
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service
    • Power Query (M Language)
    • DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
    • Data Modeling
    • Report & Dashboard Development
    • SQL and Database Querying
  • Experience with data integration from APIs, databases, and flat files.
  • Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Services is an advantage.

Airline Operations Platform (AOP) Experience

  • Hands-on experience working with Airline Operations Platform (AOP) data and reporting solutions.
  • Good understanding of:
    • Flight Operations
    • Airport Operations
    • Crew Management
    • Flight Scheduling
    • Flight Planning
    • Operations Control Center (OCC)
    • Disruption Management
    • Resource Management
  • Experience developing operational dashboards and KPI reporting for airline stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience in the Travel/Airline domain.
  • Exposure to airline operational systems.
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks.
  • Experience with API-based data extraction and integration.
  • Understanding of Agile project delivery methodologies.

  • Executive dashboards for airline operations.
  • Flight performance and operational KPI reports.
  • Crew utilization and scheduling analytics.
  • Operational disruption and recovery dashboards.
  • Data quality and business performance reports.

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
