Aviation Recruitment Experts Optime Group

Optime Group, aviation recruitment experts, are searching for Security Agents to join a well-respected and successful client at Belfast International Airport. This role is open to applicants who have no previous security experience but have a genuine interest in aviation, customer service, and security. All necessary training will be fully paid and provided by sector experts, including support in obtaining relevant background checks. There is on-site mentoring and clear career pathways leading to specialist management roles within our team, so think big!

Please note:

Due to enhanced background checks, this role is only suitable if you have continuously resided in the UK for the last 3 years.

Part Time

16 or 20 hour rosters available

16 hour roster

  • Monday & Tuesday 04:00-08:00
  • Thursday & Friday 16:00-20:00

All shifts can be 04:00 - 08:00 should this suit the right applicant

20 hour roster

  • Sunday 12:00-20:00
  • Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 04:00-08:00

Full Time Roster

  • 5 on 3 off all earlies 04:00-13:30
  • 5 on 3 off all lates 13:45 - 22:45
  • 5 on 3 off core - 13:45- 22:45, 11:00-20:00, 07:15-16:30, 04:00-14:00, 03:00-12:30

Induction Dates

You can start once your background checks are completed, this typically takes 4-6 weeks after interview!

Key Duties

  • Using equipment and manual search techniques to ensure that no prohibited articles are taken into secure airport areas.
  • Carrying out regular patrols around airside and landside locations, access control, and passenger and x-ray screening.
  • Attending to and investigating reports of incidents.
  • Completing documentation clearly and concisely on any incidents that may have occurred.
  • Responding to and assisting with emergency situations.
  • Maintaining the highest level of customer service and satisfaction at all times.

Requirements

  • A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
  • Customer service experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
