Introduction to the Business Unit
Ground Services plays a critical role in delivering a safe, secure and seamless airport experience for our customers. Our teams work closely with airport stakeholders and service providers to ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, safety and security.
About the Role
Edinburgh, United Kingdom
As an Airport Services Agent, you will be responsible for providing high-quality passenger service throughout the customer journey, including check-in, boarding, arrivals support, baggage services and customer assistance. You will help ensure airport operations run efficiently and safely while delivering an exceptional customer experience that reflects Qatar Airways' world-class standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and airport stakeholders, delivering professional and courteous service.
- Support check-in, boarding, arrival and baggage handling activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure airport operations comply with Qatar Airways standards and applicable safety and security requirements.
- Assist customers with enquiries, service requests and service recovery situations.
- Provide assistance to passengers throughout the airport, including transfers, lounges, immigration and boarding areas.
- Perform operational and administrative duties, including pre-flight and post-flight documentation requirements.
- Support aircraft turnaround activities as assigned to help ensure safe and secure operations.
- Assist with passenger verification requirements and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory procedures.
- Maintain strong working relationships with ground handling agents and operational stakeholders.
- Support emergency response and operational disruption activities when required.

About You
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- High School Qualification with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience; or Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year of job-related experience.
- Previous experience in airport operations within a leading airline environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to manage mishandled baggage services and customer service recovery situations effectively.
- Knowledge of ticketing and fare construction.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to resolve issues independently and work effectively within a team.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest safety and security standards.
- Exposure to baggage claims procedures and WorldTracer is advantageous.
- Must currently have the legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
