db Group is hiring through Hosco in London.

About Us

AKI is a contemporary Japanese restaurant and lounge bar, celebrated for its modern take on authentic Japanese cuisine and elegant atmosphere. We are opening a brand-new restaurant in London, set in an amazing location within a historic old bank. We are looking for a talented and motivated Host who is excited to join a new project and help deliver the AKI experience in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

Job Role

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
  • Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists accurately and efficiently to optimize guest seating.
  • Escort guests to their tables promptly, coordinating seamlessly with the service team.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area at all times.
  • Answer guest inquiries courteously, providing helpful information about the venue, menu, or wait times.
  • Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to minimize wait times and ensure optimal seating.
  • Handle guest requests and special seating arrangements with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with the front-of-house team to support seamless service delivery.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a host/hostess role or customer service position, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a welcoming and polite demeanor.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with reservation systems or the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment.
