Aladdin Services Analyst - Vice President
The Aladdin Services Analyst - Vice President supports the implementation, optimization, and ongoing servicing of BlackRock Aladdin solutions for clients and internal stakeholders. The role combines business analysis, client support, investment operations knowledge, and technology coordination to ensure effective use of the Aladdin platform across front-, middle-, and back-office workflows.
The analyst works closely with portfolio managers, traders, risk teams, operations teams, and technology partners to gather requirements, investigate issues, improve processes, and deliver high-quality service and platform support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day client servicing and operational activities related to the Aladdin platform.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Assist with Aladdin implementation, onboarding, configuration, and testing activities.
- Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate resolution with internal and external teams.
- Monitor workflows, data quality, reconciliations, and exception management across investment operations processes.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve platform usage, operational efficiency, and reporting capabilities.
- Support process mapping, documentation, and creation of standard operating procedures.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for system enhancements, upgrades, and change requests.
- Provide training and guidance to users on Aladdin workflows, tools, and best practices.
- Prepare management reports, service updates, KPI tracking, and client-facing materials where needed.
- Liaise with technology, data, and vendor teams to support interfaces, feeds, and system integrations.
- Ensure activities are completed in line with risk, control, compliance, and governance requirements.

Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience in asset management, investment operations, financial technology, or platform support.
- Working knowledge of BlackRock Aladdin or similar investment management platforms.
- Understanding of front-to-back investment lifecycle processes, including:
- trade capture
- order management
- portfolio compliance
- settlements
- reconciliations
- performance and risk reporting
- risk analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience gathering business requirements and supporting system/process change.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to work with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with SQL, Python, or data analysis tools is often beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- High attention to detail and strong control mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- A number of years experience in asset management and/or Aladdin or vendor based investment platforms.
- Experience supporting institutional asset management or outsourced investment operations.
- Familiarity with portfolio accounting, risk analytics, performance measurement, or compliance monitoring.
- Knowledge of market instruments such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, and cash products.
- Experience with incident management, service delivery, or client support models.
- Exposure to system integrations, data mapping, and workflow automation.
- Understanding of Agile, change management, or project delivery frameworks.
