Hours: Zero hours, days and nights

Pay: £15.50 ph


Join Our Team as a SOC Alarm Response & Investigations Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SOC Alarm Response & Investigations Controller to join our Security Operations Centre team in Basingstoke. Acting as a key point of contact for security incidents and emergency escalations, you will play a critical role in monitoring security systems, coordinating responses, supervising security resources, and supporting investigations across a multi-site operation.

About The Role

  • Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV, alarm monitoring, access control and integrated security platforms.
  • Act as a key point of contact for security incidents and emergency escalations, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Coordinate and task security officers and stakeholders to respond effectively to alarms and incidents.
  • Investigate security alerts, incidents and breaches, ensuring they are managed through to resolution.
  • Produce detailed reports, incident logs and operational documentation to a high standard.
  • Supervise and support security teams, ensuring compliance with site procedures, policies and service standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, management teams and regional stakeholders during routine and emergency situations.
  • Identify system vulnerabilities, technical faults and security risks, escalating issues and recommending improvements where appropriate.

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience managing or supporting security incidents involving multiple stakeholders or agencies.
  • Experience working within a Security Operations Centre, Control Room or comparable security environment.
  • Strong ability to remain calm, make decisions and take effective action during emergencies and high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear and concise reports.
  • Advanced IT skills and experience operating security technology platforms and monitoring systems.
  • Experience using security systems such as CCTV, access control, IDS, IPS, SIEM, CCure, Genetec or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work methodically and accurately.
  • Valid SIA Licence, Full UK Driving Licence and First Aid at Work certification.
