The role sits at the intersection of tech and trading, requiring deep expertise in high-impact systems alongside close collaboration with Quants. The ideal candidate must be an excellent technologist with a passion for cutting-edge algorithmic innovation.
Key Objectives
As a core member of the Global Execution Services algo team, the role involves:
- Design, develop, and deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the algorithmic trading platform.
- Participate in full project lifecycles, including:
- Technical analysis and design
- Data mapping and analysis
- Development and rigorous QA testing
- Provide Level 2 and 3 support for front-office applications.
- Enforce functional architecture standards and adherence to company development guidelines.
- Bridge business-development gaps by aligning on technical priorities, progress, and project execution.
- Project management support: Assist in offboarding new systems or system upgrades when necessary.
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven design and development experience in algorithmic trading systems for equity markets.
- Hands-on Java coding expertise for trading applications.
- Strong professionalism in a collaborative, multicultured environment.
- Ability to work across departments and geographies, demonstrating:
- Self-direction and initiative
- Self-management to prioritize and execute
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Bachelor/Master).

Preferred
- Experience in CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and messaging architectures (e.g., event-driven).
- Understanding of financial markets and key regional characteristics.
- Hands-on experience with networks (e.g., TCP/IP) and enterprise messaging.
