Key Objectives
Your role involves: ✑ Delivering new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the algo trading platform ✑ Participating in full project lifecycles:
- Technical analysis & design
- Data mapping & analytics
- Development & QA ✑ Occasional level 2/3 support for front-office applications ✔ Ensuring compliance with functional architecture and corporate standards ✔ Collaborating with business and development teams to align priorities and track progress ✔ Managing new system implementations or upgrades as needed
Required Skills & Experience
Essential
➔ 5+ years of experience in designing/developing equity algorithmic trading systems ➔ Proficient in Java for algorithmic trading platforms ➔ Ability to thrive in highly professional, team-oriented environments ➔ Strong cross-functional collaboration (multi-departmental, cross-regional) ➔ Self-managed, goal-driven with initiatives aligning to tasks ➔ Grade-equivalent degree (BSc/MSc) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
Preferred
✅ Experience with CI/CD automation ✅ Exposure to distributed systems & event-driven architectures ✅ Hands-on message-oriented middleware (e.g., Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, ActiveMQ) ✅ Market experience with deep knowledge of financial ecosystems and local regulations ✅ Networking background (TCP/IP, enterprise message protocols)
