What role you will play in our team
ExxonMobil Global Trading is seeking an experienced Allegro ETRM Business Analyst to support our European Gas & Power Trading business.
This role sits at the intersection of trading, operations, and technology, partnering closely with traders, schedulers, risk analysts, accountants, and IT teams to maximize the value delivered through our Allegro ETRM platform and related trading systems. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the full trade lifecycle while driving system enhancements, operational efficiency, and business process improvements.
What you will do
- Serve as the primary business-facing expert for Allegro ETRM across the European Gas & Power Trading organization.
- Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade capture, risk management, valuation, logistics, settlements, and accounting processes.
- Partner with trading, operations, risk, and technology teams to identify and implement system improvements.
- Support business initiatives, system upgrades, testing activities, and new functionality deployments.
- Manage and maintain critical master and reference data within Allegro and related platforms.
- Investigate and resolve complex system, process, and data issues impacting trading operations.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, standardize, and improve business processes.
- Develop user documentation, deliver training, and support adoption of new capabilities.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Allegro functionality, business processes, and system controls.
What you will bring

- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, Information Systems, or another quantitative discipline.
- Significant experience supporting Allegro ETRM within an energy trading environment.
- Strong understanding of gas and/or power trading processes and the associated trade lifecycle.
- Experience partnering with front-office, middle-office, back-office, and technology teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in Allegro ETRM implementation, configuration, enhancement, and support.
- Experience supporting European Gas & Power trading businesses.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Trade capture and position management
- Exposure, P&L, and mark-to-market reporting
- Logistics and scheduling
- Settlements and invoicing
- Accounting and financial controls
- Risk management workflows
- Experience leading process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex business and system issues.
- Experience training users and serving as a trusted advisor to trading organizations.
