We are looking for a passionate and customer-focused Allocations Advisor to join our Allocations Team at SCH.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in helping people access social housing in Solihull. As an Allocations Advisor, you will deliver a high-quality housing allocations service, ensuring customers receive fair, timely, and supportive assistance throughout their housing journey.
About The Role
As a key member of the Allocations Team, you will:
- Assess housing and support needs in line with the Council's Housing Allocation Scheme.
- Support the timely allocation of social housing properties.
- Carry out viewings and sign-ups for vacant homes throughout Solihull.
- Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues relating to housing applications.
- Work closely with colleagues and partner organisations to deliver excellent customer outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience handling complex and sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
- Is able to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers and stakeholders.
- Has an understanding of social housing need, housing services, or wider public sector services.
- Is organised, customer-focused, and committed to delivering a high standard of service.
- Works well as part of a team while also being able to manage their own workload effectively.
