Overview
At Michael Kors, our Planning & Allocation teams play a critical role in delivering the right product, to the right place, at the right time. As an Allocator, you will be responsible for the distribution and replenishment of merchandise across a global retail business, ensuring inventory is positioned effectively to maximise sales, profitability and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory throughout the merchandise lifecycle, including initial allocations, replenishment, consolidations, promotional builds and end-of-season actions.
- Execute and monitor monthly newness launches, ensuring inventory is allocated accurately and on time to support business priorities.
- Manage daily replenishment across stores and channels through both automated and manual allocation processes, ensuring inventory levels align with demand.
- Partner closely with Demand Planning teams to support replenishment forecasts and inventory plans.
- Maintain optimum stock levels based on store capacity, grading, trading trends, seasonality and customer demand.
- Analyse sales, stock, sell-through, weeks of supply and inventory productivity metrics to identify opportunities, risks and required actions.
- Drive stock productivity through proactive inventory balancing across stores, channels and fulfilment locations.
- Monitor warehouse inventory levels, aged stock and delivery flows, escalating risks and recommending actions.
- Maintain allocation and replenishment parameters, ensuring inventory optimisation tools are operating effectively.
- Support store openings, closures, relocations and grade changes in partnership with Branch Planning.
- Build strong relationships with Stores, Planning, Buying and Distribution teams, incorporating commercial feedback into allocation and replenishment decisions.
- Produce insightful reporting and analysis to support trading decisions and inventory optimisation.
- Support key trading events and promotional periods through proactive inventory management and stock rebalancing.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Distribution Centre teams to ensure efficient inventory flow through the network.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance allocation processes, reporting, systems and ways of working.

Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Strong Microsoft Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, lookups, reporting and data manipulation.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of key retail KPIs, including sales, ST, inventory productivity and WOS.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and work confidently with technology.
- Interest in leveraging AI-enabled tools such as Copilot to improve productivity and decision making.
- Experience within Allocation, Merchandising, Planning or a similar retail function is advantageous but not essential.
- Passion for retail, product and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The range for this position will vary based on role requirements, skill set, and years of experience. Please note that for salaried roles, the figures reflect full-time equivalency, while for hourly roles, the figures represent the applicable hourly rate.
Compensation Range: 30,000.00 - 33,000.00 GBP
