Role Description

We are hiring on behalf of our client - a Tier 1 bank an ALM/Liquidity Risk Manager (LCR & NSFR) for a long term contract on-site (3 days a week) position based in London. The role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and managing the firm’s liquidity and funding risk profile, with particular focus on regulatory ratios such as the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Developing and maintaining ALM and liquidity risk frameworks
  • Producing regular liquidity reporting and stress testing
  • Supporting balance sheet planning and optimization

The role works closely with treasury, risk, finance, and technology teams to enhance models, improve data quality, and implement regulatory and internal policy requirements. The ALM/Liquidity Risk Manager will also contribute to risk governance, prepare materials for committees and regulators, and support the design of digital and analytics solutions that strengthen liquidity risk management.

  • Strong knowledge of ALM and liquidity risk management, including LCR, NSFR, funding profiles, and regulatory liquidity frameworks.
  • Experience in banking or financial services, ideally within treasury, risk management, or balance sheet management functions.
  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and exposure to data analytics or modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) considered beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements (e.g., Basel III, PRA/ECB guidelines) and internal risk policies to practical business situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, PRM) are an advantage.
