Relationship Manager for Alpha and Alpha Youth in Wales

At Alpha, we exist to equip and serve the Church in its mission to help people discover and develop a relationship with Jesus. We are looking for a passionate and relationship-focused Relationship Manager to support churches across Wales as they run Alpha and Alpha Youth.

As the key Alpha contact for Wales, you will build strong relationships with churches and leaders, providing training, encouragement, and practical support. You'll help existing churches thrive, reconnect with those who have previously run Alpha, and introduce new churches to the impact Alpha can have in their communities.

You'll be part of Alpha UK's wider Church Facing Team, collaborating with colleagues across operations, marketing, digital, communications, and professional services teams.

Applications for this role will close on Sunday 25th October. The salary range for this position is £27,000 - £30,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for Alpha and Alpha Youth activity across Wales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with churches, clergy, youth leaders, and ministry networks
  • Support churches running Alpha through regular engagement, coaching, training, and encouragement
  • Drive church acquisition, retention, and reactivation across the region
  • Identify and connect with new churches and networks to expand Alpha's reach
  • Facilitate and deliver local Alpha training events and workshops
  • Represent Alpha at regional conferences, church events, and speaking engagements
  • Capture and share stories of church transformation and guest experiences
  • Maintain accurate regional data through Salesforce and other reporting systems
  • Undertake regional administrative activities including surveys, call campaigns, and data management

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Alpha, with experience running Alpha courses and knowledge of the HTB Network
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with church leaders, young leaders, and wider Christian networks
  • Confident trainer, presenter, and public speaker, able to deliver engaging events and workshops
  • Strong administrative and IT skills, including CRM systems, data management, GDPR compliance, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated and flexible, with the ability to work independently, travel regularly across the region, and attend occasional evening and weekend events
