Flourish at the Farm

Salary: £20,550–£24,800 (39-week term-time contract) + up to £1,200/year for additional responsibilities

Plus:

  • £200 welcome bonus (split: on joining / after probation)

Hours: Full time (Mon–Fri, 08.45–17.00) or Part time (3 full days/week)

Location: Rural Warwickshire — indoor and outdoor learning facilities

Start date: September 2026 — we'll work with your notice period

Flourish at The Farm is a well-established Alternative Provision, approved by Warwickshire County Council and trusted by over 100 schools across the Midlands. We support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities with a key focus on Social Emotional and Mental Health and neurodivergence including Autism and ADHD. We deliver a well-rounded mix of practical, therapeutic and creative activities across our welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces.

Our child-centred and flexible approach benefits students who struggle to thrive in a traditional classroom setting, giving them the freedom to learn, grow and succeed in ways that work for them.

As a Primary and Secondary Mentor

As a Primary and Secondary Mentor, you'll work one-to-one with students aged 6–16, helping them build confidence, life skills, and independence alongside supporting growth in their academic learning.

As a Post 16 Mentor you will also have the opportunity to work one to one and in small groups delivering practical, therapeutic and educational activities helping the students prepare for adulthood and their next steps.

No two days look the same — you'll be led by what your student needs, whether that's inside, outside, or somewhere in between.

What we are looking for?

We're looking for someone who can stay calm when things don't go to plan, adapt in the moment, and bring patience and consistency to every interaction. You don't need to have all the answers — just a child-centred approach, positive role model behaviours and a willingness to learn, adapt and grow.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or Mentor with children/young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • GCSE Grade C/4+ in English and Maths, or a Level 2 TA qualification
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly with a positive, non-judgemental approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A flexible, responsive approach to different teaching/mentoring styles
