We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Asset Management Alternative’s team in the role of Alternatives Senior Business Analyst to help shape the Global Target Operating Model (GTOM) across private equity, private credit, real assets and hedge funds. This is a senior role at the heart of front-to-back transformation—defining scalable operating models, data-driven solutions and platform capabilities that support growth, strengthen controls and improve efficiency across regions.

In this role you’ll:
- Lead end-to-end business analysis across complex GTOM change initiatives, from discovery through delivery and adoption.
- Elicit, analyse and document business requirements; translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and solution designs aligned to HSBC standards.
- Design and oversee front-to-back solutions spanning portfolio management, valuation, reporting and operational workflows across Alternatives.
- Define and govern data lineage, data flows and integration patterns across investment, operations and risk systems; drive data quality improvements.
- Evaluate, select and integrate market platforms (e.g., eFront, Allvue, Aladdin or equivalent) and partner with technology teams on scalable designs.
- Collaborate across business, operations, technology, risk and data teams globally (EMEA/APAC/Americas), embedding controls and ensuring consistent operating models.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Extensive experience in Asset Management/Alternatives with strong knowledge of private markets such as Private Equity, Private Credit, Real Assets and Hedge Funds.
- Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst and/or Solutions Architect delivering front-to-back change in investment management.
- Strong data analysis capability, including SQL and experience working with data lineage, integration and governance frameworks.
- Hands-on exposure to Alternatives platforms and ecosystems (e.g., Allvue, eFront, Arcesium, Anaplan, Citco Unity or similar).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—able to bridge business outcomes and technology delivery in a matrixed, global environment.
- Strategic, structured problem-solver with strong documentation skills and an eye for automation, simplification and scalable design.
