Aluminium Assembly Operative/Fabricator for Stairs, Platforms & Walkways
Pay: £29,000.00 per year
Job Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for an operative to join our growing Katt Safety Fabrication unit in Bradley Stoke, Bristol. The company is going through a sustained period of growth and as a result of this we are looking for additional staff to join us as soon as possible. This is a permanent position for the right candidate.
Working in a busy warehouse, the role of the operator will include manufacturing work including fabrication/assembly tasks working with Aluminium material and running a saw for cutting the Aluminium Materials. The other fabrication tasks also involve use of machinery such as chopsaws, pillar drills and small power tools (ideally previous experience will be required but training will be provided).

The products that are being built are all of a modular kit type, it's all bolt together using a clever system of slotted profiles and T bolts. If you liked Meccano as a kid this job would be perfect for you. The products we assemble are Stairs, Platforms, Walkways, Ladders & Ships Ladders.
You will need to have hands-on, practical skills, attention to detail and enjoy working in a busy environment. You will need to have the ability to organise workload, work to deadlines and work well with the other operatives in the area. As well as the ability to read construction drawings, and use dimensions to mark up materials from drawings.

- 3 month probation applies to this role.
- Salary £29k per annum.
- Hours are: Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4.30pm.
