Role Description
The Aluminium Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bradford, responsible for overseeing the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of aluminium doors, windows, and related systems. Day-to-day tasks include supervising workshop and site teams, allocating jobs, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification, and coordinating with project managers and clients. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, planning materials and resources, inspecting completed work for quality and compliance with relevant standards, and maintaining accurate records of projects and service visits. The Aluminium Supervisor will support training and development of team members, promote safe working practices, and help improve processes and efficiency across aluminium operations. This position also requires close collaboration with other departments to ensure integrated solutions for automatic doors, access systems, and industrial installations.

- Experience in supervising aluminium fabrication and installation teams, including job planning, workload allocation, and performance oversight.
- Strong technical skills in aluminium doors, windows, and curtain walling, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, British Standards, and best practices for automatic doors, gates, barriers, and industrial doors.
- Solid background in hands-on fabrication, fitting, and fault-finding, ideally within commercial or industrial premises.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities, including managing multiple jobs, prioritizing tasks, and responding to reactive call-outs when required.
- Comfort with basic IT systems for job scheduling, reporting, and documentation; experience with maintenance management or CRM systems is an advantage.
- Relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship in aluminium fabrication, engineering, or a related field; supervisory or leadership training is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally to customer
