Based at The Place, London Contemporary Dance School is one of the most exciting and influential contemporary dance education spaces in Europe since it first opened its doors in 1969. JOB OVERVIEW

The Alumni Engagement Manager will lead the development and delivery of London Contemporary Dance School’s (LCDS) alumni engagement strategy, strengthening connections between alumni, LCDS and The Place. This role will identify and create meaningful opportunities for alumni to engage with the life of the organisation by connecting them with performances, professional development opportunities, artistic activity and events across The Place’s existing programmes, alongside targeted alumni initiatives where appropriate. The postholder will report to LCDS’s Senior Management and work closely with the Communications team, School Office team and the Alumni Working Group.

Alumni of LCDS play a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s long-term success and maintaining its world-leading reputation. The Alumni Engagement Manager will cultivate and strengthen relationships across our global alumni community through strategic engagement, communications, professional support and opportunities for connection throughout their careers.

This role will maximise engagement by integrating alumni into the rich programme of performances, festivals, talks, networking opportunities and artistic activity that already exists across The Place. Working across departments, the Alumni Engagement Manager will identify opportunities for alumni to reconnect with the organisation, with one another and with the wider dance sector, while developing additional initiatives where these add value.

The post holder will operate with a high degree of autonomy across the organisation and will work collaboratively with colleagues to embed alumni engagement throughout The Place's activities.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required in agreement with their line manager.

SALARY

The full-time equivalent salary for this position is £36,471 per annum, equating to £21,883 per annum for this part-time role.

CONTRACT TERMS

This is a 12-month, fixed-term, maternity cover contract. This is a part-time position (equivalent to 24 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager.
