Alzheimer's Society UKDTN Senior Clinical Research Nurse
This role is funded by the UK Dementia Trials Network (UKDTN), supported as part of the Alzheimer's Society UKDTN Research Nurse Programme, and hosted by Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
As an Alzheimer's Society UKDTN Senior Clinical Research Nurse, the post holder will provide clinical and administrative support to ensure effective delivery of early phase dementia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) CTIMP and ATIMP clinical trials. Working as a Study Coordinator, they will support studies from site initiation through to close-out, collaborating with Principal Investigators, research teams, and study partners to ensure high-quality research delivery and participant support.
They will be responsible for the coordination and management of assigned studies, including participant screening, recruitment, assessment, monitoring, informed consent, clinical procedures, biological sample collection, and accurate recording of trial data and compliance with ICH-GCP and research regulations. They will contribute to improving access to dementia research, developing referral pathways, and engaging with underserved communities.

The post holder will support the development of junior staff, contribute to training and clinical competency development, participate in audits and service improvement activities, and represent the research team at relevant meetings. The role requires strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy, cannulation, and medication administration, alongside the ability to work collaboratively across local services and attend regional and UK-wide UKDTN and Alzheimer's Society meetings as required.

Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast.
