Amazon Account Manager

Vendor Central and Seller Central | International Marketplaces

The opportunity

A specialist Amazon agency is seeking an Account Manager to support consumer brands across international marketplaces. The role combines client relationship management, commercial analysis and practical account management, with a focus on increasing sales and improving profitability.

Working alongside senior account leadership and advertising specialists, the successful candidate will manage daily account activity, deliver agreed plans and identify opportunities to improve performance.

Key responsibilities

Client and account management

  • Act as the main contact for daily client queries, providing clear updates and ensuring agreed actions are completed.
  • Turn account strategies into practical plans with defined responsibilities, deadlines and commercial objectives.
  • Lead regular client meetings, explain performance and recommend next steps.
  • Maintain accurate records of actions and decisions, coordinating colleagues and escalating issues where needed.

Amazon operations

  • Manage Vendor Central and Seller Central accounts, including product listings, catalogue accuracy, stock availability, purchase orders and fulfilment.
  • Resolve shortages, chargebacks, account health issues and operational queries.
  • Monitor pricing, Buy Box performance and product availability, identifying issues that could affect sales.
  • Prepare accounts for promotions, seasonal peaks and major Amazon trading events.

Commercial performance

  • Build and maintain account profit and loss reports, covering revenue, product costs, Amazon fees, trading terms, advertising spend and returns.
  • Analyse sales, margins and operating costs to recommend actions that support profitable growth.
  • Develop sales forecasts, promotional plans and trading calendars.
  • Assess performance using relevant measures, including average selling price, net PPM, contribution margin, TACoS, ACoS, ROAS, traffic, conversion and stock cover.
  • Identify commercial risks and growth opportunities, assessing their potential impact and tracking progress.

Reporting and collaboration

  • Produce weekly and monthly reports that explain results, the reasons behind changes and recommended actions.
  • Work closely with advertising specialists to align media activity with stock availability, promotions and commercial priorities.
  • Coordinate account activity across retail, advertising and operational teams.
  • Provide senior colleagues with clear updates on performance, risks and decisions requiring support.

Experience and skills required

  • At least two years of practical Amazon account management experience, ideally within an agency.
  • Experience managing both Vendor Central and Seller Central across multiple international Amazon marketplaces.
  • Ability to build and interpret account profit and loss reports and use commercial data to guide decisions.
  • Experience managing forecasts, promotions, product catalogues and seasonal trading activity.
  • Confident client communication, including presenting results and addressing performance challenges.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive approach to resolving problems and taking responsibility for agreed actions.
  • Ability to work independently within a remote team and attend client meetings when required.

Additional experience of interest

  • Experience across UK, European and North American Amazon marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of international expansion, product localisation and regional trading requirements.
  • Experience developing marketplace plans that account for currencies, fees, taxes, fulfilment costs and local pricing.
  • Understanding of how Amazon advertising influences sales, conversion and profitability.
  • Experience working with consumer brands in categories such as toys, FMCG, beauty, home or lifestyle.

Success in the role

Success will be demonstrated through strong client relationships, reliable delivery of account plans and clear commercial recommendations. Accounts should be well managed, issues resolved promptly and reporting used to support decisions that improve sales and sustainable profitability.
