Amazon Connect Architect

Location: Edinburgh, UK

Work Model: Hybrid (2 Days per Week in Office)

Contract Duration: 6 to 12 Months

Rate: Up to £550 - £650 Per Day (Inside IR35)

Role Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and own end-to-end Amazon Connect architecture including contact flows, voice routing, queues, and routing profiles
  • Develop scalable and resilient cloud-based contact centre solutions aligned with AWS best practices
  • Design and optimize IVR solutions, call lifecycle management, and customer journey flows
  • Build and govern integrations using AWS Lambda, APIs, event-driven architectures, and enterprise platforms
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Design secure and compliant solutions leveraging AWS IAM and cloud security best practices
  • Implement intelligent automation using Amazon Lex, Contact Lens, Transcribe, and AI/ML services
  • Support high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployment strategies
  • Drive solution architecture reviews and ensure alignment with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Collaborate with delivery, engineering, and business teams throughout the project lifecycle

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an Amazon Connect Architect or Solution Architect
  • AWS Solution Architecture expertise with strong understanding of cloud-native design principles
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect, AWS Lambda, Amazon Lex, and Contact Lens
  • Strong knowledge of contact centre technologies including IVR, ACD, CTI, Voice Biometrics, NLP, and Call Recording
  • Experience designing and implementing API-based integrations with enterprise applications
  • Expertise in AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, Transcribe, SageMaker, and related cloud technologies
  • Strong understanding of security, scalability, resilience, and performance optimization
  • Experience delivering solutions within Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) environments
  • Ability to provide architecture leadership from design through implementation and deployment

  • AWS Solution Architect Certification
  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock and Generative AI solutions
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and ServiceNow integrations
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, or CloudFormation
  • Multi-region Amazon Connect deployment experience
  • Contact Centre Transformation programme experience
  • Additional AWS certifications in Security, Networking, or Specialty domains
