About This Role

The Amazon Media Manager will own the UK & Ireland Amazon media strategy and activation, turning investment into profitable growth and stronger brand visibility. Reporting to the Director of eCommerce UK & Ireland, this role will lead the planning, execution and optimisation of Amazon Advertising across the full funnel, working closely with the UK&I eCommerce, Marketing, Commercial and Finance teams, alongside Global stakeholders and agency partners.

This is a commercially focused role for an Amazon media specialist who combines deep platform expertise with rigorous performance management. The role will use data, testing and consumer insight to improve discoverability, conversion and return on investment, while ensuring ghd is presented consistently and brilliantly across Amazon UK and Ireland.

Location

This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the UK&I Amazon media strategy and roadmap, aligned to commercial targets, brand priorities and the wider eCommerce plan.
  • Plan, execute and optimise Amazon PPC, Sponsored Ads, Amazon DSP and relevant Amazon Marketing Services activity across the full consumer funnel.
  • Translate sales, traffic and media data into clear actions, with disciplined management of ACoS, ROAS, conversion rate, share of voice and incremental growth.
  • Lead annual and campaign budget planning, pacing and forecasting, ensuring investment is directed to the highest-impact opportunities.
  • Build a structured test-and-learn agenda across audiences, formats, creative, keywords, bidding and retail moments; evaluate results with methodical accuracy and scale what works.
  • Own keyword strategy and search optimisation, partnering with eCommerce teams to improve discoverability, SEO ranking, product detail page performance and conversion.
  • Partner with the Amazon account team and internal stakeholders on campaign calendars, promotions, product launches, availability and trading priorities.
  • Act as the key UK&I stakeholder for Amazon media agency management, including clear briefs, performance challenge, governance and delivery against agreed objectives.
  • Use Amazon Marketing Cloud and other available data sources to deepen audience insight, improve measurement and inform future investment decisions.
  • Own Amazon media dashboards and performance commentary, providing concise, commercially focused updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Global eCommerce and media teams to share learning, adopt best practice and ensure UK&I requirements are represented in global plans.
  • Ensure campaign assets, copy and customer journeys reflect ghd brand standards and deliver a best-in-class Amazon experience.
  • Monitor Amazon advertising developments, algorithm changes, competitor activity and beauty market trends, translating relevant changes into action for ghd.
  • Continuously improve reporting, data accuracy, processes and ways of working to increase speed, accountability and effectiveness.

Success Measures

  • Profitable Amazon sales growth and delivery against UK&I commercial targets.
  • Improved return on media investment, including ACoS and ROAS performance.
  • Growth in relevant search visibility, share of voice, traffic and conversion.
  • Effective budget pacing, forecast accuracy and clear performance reporting.
  • A strong test-and-learn pipeline that delivers measurable improvements and scalable learning.
  • Consistent, best-in-class brand execution across Amazon UK and Ireland.

Requirements & Key Attributes

  • Proven experience managing Amazon Advertising campaigns, including Sponsored Ads, PPC and Amazon DSP; experience of Amazon Marketing Cloud is advantageous.
  • A strong track record of using Amazon media to drive sales and revenue growth, with clear understanding of retail media economics and performance levers.
  • Excellent analytical skills and confidence interpreting complex data to develop practical insights and recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon search, keyword strategy, SEO principles, product detail page optimisation and conversion drivers.
  • Experience managing agencies and external partners, with the confidence to set direction, challenge performance and hold partners to account.
  • Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance short-term trading needs, long-term growth and brand equity.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-moving environment.
  • Clear and influential written and verbal communication, including the ability to simplify performance for senior and non-specialist audiences.
  • A collaborative, proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to work across local and global teams.
  • Experience in beauty, premium consumer goods or a fast-paced retail environment is desirable.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
