Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) – Bristol

Location: Bristol Employer: Bristol Ambulance (Part of Emed Group)

About the Role

We’re seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Ambulance Care Assistants (ACAs). This is a hugely rewarding and fulfilling role where you’ll provide essential support to patients during their medical journeys.

Each day, you’ll help those in need, making a meaningful difference and gaining a real sense of achievement from doing so.


Responsibilities

  • Provide vital patient support during medical transport
  • Assess and assist with mobility needs of patients
  • Work alongside ambulance crews to ensure safe and comfortable journeys
  • Maintain high standards of care and professionalism
  • Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures

Requirements

Essential

  • Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months if over 21, or 24 months if under 21)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and independently
  • Physical fitness to assist patients with mobility requirements

Benefits

Compensation & Contract

  • Competitive salary: £28,042.56 per annum (prorated for part-time roles)
  • Full-time hours: 42 hours per week
  • 4 on / 4 off rota
