Ambulance Driver (Non Emergency)
Wokingham, Berkshire (Field Based)
£13.00 per hour + Overtime (OTE circa £38,000)
Full Time | Permanent
Shift Pattern: 8-12 Hour Shifts | 5 Days On / 2 Days Off | 24/7 Operation

L&T Ambulance Service provides professional, compassionate patient transport services, helping people safely travel to and from hospitals, treatment centres and healthcare appointments.

The Opportunity
This is far more than simply driving an ambulance.
You'll provide safe, comfortable transport for patients who may be elderly, vulnerable or experiencing poor health, ensuring they feel supported throughout every journey.
Although you'll begin and end every shift from our Wokingham base, you'll travel across a wider geographical area as required, transporting patients to appointments both within and outside the local region.

From the moment you clock in and collect your vehicle until you return at the end of your shift, all driving undertaken in the company vehicle is fully paid.
Where You'll Add Value
- Safely transport patients to and from hospitals, clinics and healthcare appointments
- Provide reassurance, support and excellent customer care throughout each journey
- Assist patients getting in and out of the ambulance safely and respectfully
- Drive safely while maintaining high standards of professionalism
- Complete journey records accurately
- Keep your ambulance clean, tidy and ready for service
- Respond calmly and professionally should medical situations arise
- Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team
About You
You'll genuinely enjoy helping people and understand the importance of compassion, patience and professionalism.
You'll also bring

Essential Requirements
- Aged 21 years or over
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence
- Licence held for at least 1 year
- No more than 6 penalty points
- Comfortable working 8-12 hour shifts on a rotating schedule
- Able to pass a DBS check (Update Service desirable but not essential)
