Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Manager – Manchester Urology – Job Description
About Us
The Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Manager at Manchester Urology oversees clinical operations across multiple practice locations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care. This leadership role is responsible for driving clinical and operational excellence across Manchester, Nashua, Dover, Portsmouth, and Derry, while maintaining consistency, efficiency, and clinical standards across the region.
Clinical Services Overview
Manchester Urology specialises in managing a broad range of urologic conditions, including:
- Cancers (prostate, kidney, bladder, testicular, adrenal)
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)
- Kidney stones
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Hematuria
- Incontinence & bladder disorders
- Men's sexual health
- Infertility
- Pelvic prolapse
Services include:
- Medical and surgical management
- Procedures such as vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, cystoscopy, and biopsies
Position Summary
Role: Ambulatory Clinical Nurse Manager Working Hours: Monday – Friday
As a key member of the clinical nursing leadership team, the RN Manager will:
- Demonstrate 24-hour accountability for clinical, operational, human resources, and financial management of Elliot Clinical Services (ECS) practice(s).
- Partner with Practice Managers and drive:
- High-quality patient care
- Professional growth
- Accountability & autonomy in a collaborative work environment
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure departmental operations align with regulatory standards, including:
- DNV (DNV GL Healthcare), TJC (The Joint Commission), SHA (NH State Health Authority), CMS, and HIPAA.
- Support and contribute to the development and refinement of:
- Nursing departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of care.

Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
- Foster departmental goals that align with:
- Elliot Health System’s objectives.
- Ambulatory Nursing Director, Practice Managers, and healthcare team.
- Participate in business & marketing plans to strengthen practice growth.
- Assist in the development and execution of patient volume forecasting, staffing ratios, and operational efficiency measures.
Talent Management
- Partner with HR to:
- Conduct interviews and candidate selection
- Approve hiring, transfers, assignments, rewards, disciplinary actions, and terminations (with Director oversight).
- Implement TeamSTEPPS principles to:
- Strengthen interdisciplinary communication & collaboration.
Performance & Professional Growth
- Set and communicate performance expectations in collaboration with:
- Ambulatory Nursing Director, Quality & Safety Nurse, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Practice Managers.
- Establish and promote professional development for the nursing team.
- Conduct:
- Ongoing coaching
- Formal annual performance evaluations.
Financial & Operational Management
- Annual budgeting:
- Develop projections for office visits, revenues, staffing plans, operating expenses, and capital requests.
- Collaborate with Practice Managers and staff on financial strategies.
- Ensure optimal FTE levels to meet staffing standards.
- Monitor and report monthly financial performance, identify variances, and:
- Recommend improvements to Practice Managers.
- Payroll management, including:
- Approval and submission of accurate, complete payroll for clinical staff.

Education & Experience Requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN program (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher (mandatory).
- Master's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.
Licensure
- Current RN licensure in New Hampshire (required).
- Professional specialty certification (required or obtainable within 6 months of hire).
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of recent ambulatory care clinical experience (preferred).
- Prior management or leadership experience (strongly preferred).
