About PanPay

PanPay is an international payments company providing multi-currency accounts, cross-border payments and related payment services to businesses engaged in international trade and e-commerce.

As we continue to grow our UK business, we are looking for an AML & Financial Crime Specialist to join our London team and support the day-to-day operation of our UK financial crime compliance framework.

The Role

Reporting to the UK MLRO, you will play a hands-on role across customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, investigations, sanctions screening and ongoing customer risk management.

This role is particularly suited to someone with practical AML experience in payments, fintech, banking or other regulated financial services who enjoys investigating real customer and transaction activity rather than working primarily in policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct KYC, ongoing due diligence (ODD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reviews.
  • Perform ongoing and retrospective transaction monitoring and investigate unusual customer or payment activity.
  • Investigate AML, sanctions and other financial crime alerts and maintain clear, well-documented case records.
  • Review customer activity against expected business profiles and identify emerging or changing financial crime risks.
  • Support sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening and investigate potential matches.
  • Escalate potentially suspicious activity and material financial crime concerns to the UK MLRO.
  • Support periodic customer reviews and customer risk assessments.
  • Review cross-border transactions and supporting commercial documentation where required.
  • Work closely with Operations and Customer Support teams on AML and financial crime matters.
  • Support the UK MLRO with management information, compliance monitoring, audits and regulatory reviews.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
