AML Officer - St Andrews | Newly Created Role
We’re looking for an AML Officer to join our team in St Andrews in a newly created role supporting our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Money Laundering Compliance Officer (MLCO).
This is an opportunity to step into a role with genuine scope and influence - helping to strengthen the AML framework, support regulatory compliance and embed best practice across the firm.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working closely with the MLRO and MLCO, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operation and development of our AML controls, including:
- Supporting client due diligence and ongoing monitoring
- Reviewing AML checks and escalating issues where appropriate
- Assisting with AML risk assessments, reviews and reporting
- Supporting the MLRO and MLCO with compliance monitoring and internal reviews
- Helping maintain and improve AML policies, procedures and controls
- Keeping up to date with relevant legislation, regulation and guidance
- Providing practical AML support and guidance to colleagues across the firm
- Helping to promote a strong culture of AML compliance

You will be:
- Knowledgeable, curious and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in AML and compliance
- Ideally have experience within a legal, professional services or regulated environment, together with a good understanding of AML requirements and the confidence to challenge and ask the right questions.
- You’ll be organised, analytical and detail-focused - comfortable communicating with people across the business.
