About The Role
Anaesthetic Practitioner
Devizes Surgical Centre, Wiltshire | Full Time, Permanent | Salary £44,373.07 per year

Are you a Registered Anaesthetic Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) looking for your next challenge?
At Practice Plus Group, we're looking for a skilled and passionate Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our theatre team at Devizes Surgical Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing multidisciplinary team, supporting patients throughout their perioperative journey while helping to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.
You'll play a vital role within our theatre department, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care while working alongside experienced surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre professionals.

What you'll be doing
- Providing expert anaesthetic support across a range of surgical specialties.
- Delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care throughout the perioperative pathway.
- Monitoring and assessing patients during anaesthetic procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.
- Supporting the efficient running of theatre lists while maintaining exceptional patient safety standards.
- Participating in WHO safer surgery checklists, clinical governance activities, and audits.
- Supervising and supporting junior team members, students, and support staff.
- Maintaining equipment, consumables, and resources within the anaesthetic department.
- Contributing to service improvement initiatives and promoting best practice within the theatre environment.

What we'll look for in you
To Succeed In This Role, You'll Be
- A Registered Anaesthetic Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC).
- An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Committed to delivering safe, patient-centred care.
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willing to participate in on-call requirements to support service needs.
