Job Title: Analogue IC Design Engineer

Location: Southampton (Remote, Occasional Office visits)
Contract Length: 8 Months (Possible Extension)
Day Rate: £58 per Hour (Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and verify analogue and mixed-signal integrated circuits for advanced infrared imaging and sensing applications.
  • Translate system and circuit requirements into robust transistor-level design solutions.
  • Perform simulation, analysis and verification activities to ensure designs meet performance, reliability and quality standards.
  • Work at cell, block and subsystem level throughout the IC development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with layout, systems, test and product engineering teams.
  • Support design reviews, technical documentation and project planning activities.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation detector and imaging technologies.

Requirements

  • Several years of commercial experience in analogue or mixed-signal IC design.
  • Degree, Masters or PhD in Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of transistor-level circuit design and analysis.
  • Experience designing CMOS integrated circuits and semiconductor devices.
  • Hands-on experience with IC simulation, verification and validation methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into verified design solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE or similar IC design tools.
  • Previous experience designing CMOS Readout Integrated Circuits (ROICs).
