Kedrion Biopharma is looking for a motivated and driven Biochemistry Analyst to join our Quality department at our Elstree, Hertfordshire site. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Life Science graduate or an early-career scientist who is passionate about biochemistry and keen to build practical experience within a supportive biopharmaceutical environment.

Working alongside experienced industry professionals, you will develop essential laboratory skills while gaining valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of a leading biopharmaceutical company. You will contribute to important analytical activities and learn to perform a broad range of methods, including chromogenic assays, UV-Vis methods and ELISAs. You will also support the smooth running of the laboratory through sample and reagent preparation, equipment care, accurate documentation and general laboratory housekeeping.

What You'll Do

  • Perform a wide variety of laboratory testing in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, company policies and Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, applying approved methods accurately and consistently.
  • Prepare reagents, standards and control samples, while supporting general laboratory housekeeping activities such as buffer preparation, sample aliquoting, equipment cleaning and maintaining an organised working environment.
  • Promptly report deviations and results that fall outside specifications or established limits, providing support with investigations when required and ensuring concerns are escalated appropriately.
  • Read, collate, report and archive results using approved documentation and computer systems, including completing associated administrative activities and ensuring laboratory records are clear, accurate and traceable.
  • Operate a variety of analytical instruments and software packages used for data analysis, collation and related laboratory applications, including Laboratory Information Management Systems where applicable.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is clean, calibrated and properly maintained, carry out system suitability checks where required, and assist with the calibration or validation of laboratory equipment and automated systems.
  • Maintain effective stock control, recommend revisions to documentation where improvements are identified, and contribute ideas that support continuous improvement within the laboratory and wider Quality function.
  • Organise and manage your assigned activities, report issues or delays to line management in a timely manner, collaborate with colleagues across departments and attend relevant meetings as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
