We are seeking a high-calibre Analyst, Associate or Senior Associate to support Resource Resolutions’ CEO and colleagues to build on the early success of the business and position RR to contribute across multiple situations internationally.

1. Who we are and why we are hiring
Resource Resolutions seeks to transform societal and geopolitical conflict and division around resources into mutually beneficial outcomes. We support companies, governments and stakeholders to understand the issues and each other, and find mutual advantage through negotiation, dialogue and mediation.
Huge investments in minerals, energy, water and other natural resources will be needed in the years ahead. However, the societal, political and climate context for these investments is increasingly fraught. We work with parties to unearth win-win solutions and align around sustainable, shared approaches.
Launched in 2025 and backed by a Global Advisory Council of leading figures from industry, academia, government and civil society, our initial assignments have focused on the UK and sub-Saharan Africa.
We are now seeing growing interest in our work and a range of situations internationally where our support could contribute to positive outcomes. We are looking for a new team member to help us cultivate and follow through on these exciting opportunities.
2. The opportunity
We are looking for a high-calibre Analyst, Associate or Senior Associate to work as part of the Resource Resolutions small core team. The level of the role will be determined by the amount of previous experience. Importantly, ongoing on-the-job coaching, training and senior guidance will be provided, particularly for less experienced candidates.
A key focus of the role will be to support and work closely with RR’s Founder & CEO on growing the business, positioning RR, and building strategic relationships. In this sense the role will be akin to a ‘Founders Associate’ role at a startup.
The work will range widely, with encouragement to explore areas of interest that may be prospective or impactful for the business, and with much of the work linked to locally, nationally or globally important topics.
Among the main areas will be supporting RR with:
- Business development. For example: researching and identifying relevant situations and opportunities; outreach to decision makers; arranging, preparing for, and attending meetings and conferences with senior RR team members; helping respond to inquiries and developing proposals.
- Development of strategic partnerships. For example, we are currently looking to develop a partnership focused on reducing geopolitical tensions over resources. This will involve supporting RR’s CEO with planning, outreach and engagement on this initiative
- Events, thought leadership, and positioning. For example: helping organise RR’s events and bulletins for senior decision makers; developing topical, high-impact content for RR; supporting RR’s CEO on thought leadership, media and social media engagement and presentations at conferences.
- Assignments and building RR capabilities. For example: working as part of the RR core team to deliver assignments in different parts of the world; supporting the further development of RR’s core methodology to build bridges between stakeholders around natural resources; helping maintain and grow RR’s international network of senior advisors.
- Supporting RR’s senior team on key operational tasks. For example: scheduling meetings and travel where needed; liaising with our service providers to help tackle day-to-day operational issues.

3. The ideal candidate will have:
Skills / qualifications:
- A strong academic record (equivalent of a good 2:1 or 1st; preferably with a master’s degree, if no other significant work experience)
- Strong analytical and research skills; ability to quickly grasp and dissect complex issues
- Evidence of skills relevant to business development: e.g. entrepreneurial mindset; relationship building skills; communication skills
- Excellent writing ability in English
- Adept at using AI. Good general IT skills, including familiarity with MS Office, including PowerPoint & Excel
- Knowledge of natural resource issues and industries and / or conflict resolution will be helpful, but not essential
- Foreign language skills useful, but not essential
For those seeking to enter at the Associate or Senior Associate levels:
- Two to eight or more years of work experience.
- This could be from a range of sectors, including but not limited to: consulting, startups, business development, law, finance, public sector, think tank, media, NGO, etc.
- The experience need not be directly relevant to the work of RR (e.g., natural resources or conflict resolution), but the skills developed and track record should suggest ability to excel in the tasks set out in the role description (i.e., section 2) above.
- For candidates with 8-10 years or more of relevant work experience, please note we may be recruiting for a senior-level business builder position in 2027.

4. Details of employment
Time, start date and duration:
- This will be a full-time role.
- The start date will be as soon as possible – ideally no later than the end of November 2026, though we are able to accommodate a later start for candidates who have a notice period in their current role.
- In terms of the duration of the contract:
- For the role at the Analyst level, this would be initially for a 12-months contract, with a three-months probationary period. Subject to excellent individual performance and supportive business conditions, the contract could be extended or made permanent after the 12 months.
- For the role at the Associate or Senior Associate levels, this would be a permanent contract, with a six-months probationary period.
Location:
- We are based in London, with offices in London’s vibrant King’s Cross
- We currently operate a hybrid working system, typically involving three days a week in the office and two days working from home. Employees are welcome to work from the office more frequently, including full-time, if they prefer.
- The role could involve occasional international travel, depending on the needs of the business.
- Please note we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK for this role without sponsorship needed from us. Any offer of employment will be conditional on satisfactory right-to-work checks.
Salary:
- Competitive base salary, higher for more experienced candidates
- Attractive yearly performance bonus for strong performance.
- Potential for equity options after 1-3 years of service.
