Role overview:

PlayStation is looking for an innovative, detail-oriented, highly motivated Analyst to join our PlayStation Services team. Services sits within the Global Sales and Business Operations organization that manages the PlayStation Plus subscription business, a key revenue generator and innovator for Sony Interactive Entertainment. This role sits within the Planning and Insights team responsible for leading analytics operational excellence in commercial performance, planning, and strategy.

This role is responsible for insightful and actionable analytics support of our subscription services from a commercial strategy standpoint. You will play a supporting role in creating data reporting tools, measuring initiative impact to subscriptions, and delivering analytical insights on the performance of commercial and content propositions. The work you do will directly impact decisions made about the games and benefits made available to PlayStation Plus members. Effective verbal and written communication skills are extremely important, as you will collaborate with key stakeholders across a global organization.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support on analysis of commercial and content engagement trends across the PlayStation user base, using these insights to inform strategic decisions and improve performance measurability
  • Leverage various data sources, including commercial, behavioral, and consumer insights data, to help evaluate benefit performance and revenue optimization
  • Provide analysis on the impact of commercial KPIs on content engagement, identifying opportunities to drive both subscription sales and content engagement with a data-driven approach
  • Utilize SQL, Python, Airflow, Tableau, Domo, etc to efficiently scale the delivery and use of data across the Services team
  • Partner closely with stakeholders within GSBO and other supporting teams to understand and deliver business insights using data
  • Collaborate with data teams across SIE to understand and utilize available tools and resources while contributing learnings and business area expertise to the organization

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience (or equivalent) working in an analytics function, ideally within digital entertainment, subscription, media, technology or a related digital business.
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python and/or R, alongside spreadsheet applications such as Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions and requirements into structured analysis and meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and a track record of delivering accurate, high-quality analytical work.
  • Experience creating data visualisations, dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights and support decision-making.
  • Experience applying quality assurance practices, including documentation, peer review and code review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different teams, functions and levels of seniority.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with colleagues across global time zones, including occasional meetings outside standard local working hours.

Desirable:

  • Experience with additional analytics, data or visualisation tools such as VBA, Airflow, Tableau or Domo.
  • Knowledge of, or a strong interest in, the gaming and digital entertainment industry, including key players and competitive offerings.
  • Experience working with subscription-based products or businesses.
  • Educational background in a quantitative or computational field.
